The Section of Hematology/Oncology in the Department of Pediatrics at Yale University School of Medicine is recruiting a full-time stem cell transplant faculty position in our US News and World Report-recognized Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Program. Our growing stem cell transplant program performs autologous and allogeneic transplants of all donor types. The program is housed in a newly renovated unit. The Yale transplant program is FACT accredited and a member of PBMTC. The on-going integration of university and community-based practices has doubled patient volume and opportunities for clinical investigation. The ideal candidate will contribute to the ongoing development of an academic, clinically focused program in stem cell transplantation and will interact collaboratively with basic and translational investigators in Yale’s stem cell program and the Yale Cancer Center. Yale’s pediatric oncology program is an established and fully -approved member of Children’s Oncology Group.
Candidates should be board-eligible or board-certified in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology and must have completed fellowship training in Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplant or carry at least 3 years’ experience working as a Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplant physician. Preference will be given to applicants who have demonstrated expertise in a focused academic area of study, particularly cellular therapy or in novel approaches to the transplantation of immunological or non-malignant disorders. Appointment at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor is anticipated.
