The Program Director serves as a Senior Manager within the Addiction Services Division.
Working with a multidisciplinary team, s/he is responsible for providing overall direction and coordination of the program’s operation, including fiscal, staff supervision, program design and monitoring.
Oversees all operational aspects of the program including recruitment/community relations, patient admissions, medical/clinical services, case management, utilization review, programming, fiscal/budget management, operations and facilities management.
Assures that the program adheres to all federal and state mandates, accreditation standards, contractual agreements and Bay Cove Human Services policies and procedures.
Works closely with the program’s multidisciplinary team, including Medical Director, Psychiatry Consultant, nursing, case management and recovery support, to assure safe and appropriate detoxification of patients and continuing care protocols.
Provides direct supervision for program managers and coordinators for billing, intake and operations.
Collaborates with the Bay Cove IT Department to maintain the program’s electronic health records management system, assuring for accurate documentation of patient records, timely billing, storage and maintenance of patient records in accordance with regulatory codes.
Leads the program management team to plan, outline, organize, monitor and report on goals, objectives and outcomes for the program.
Attracts new/supplemental funding to support program activities and prepare reports and proposals as required.
Serve as the program's representative in contacts with funding sources; federal, state, and local organizations; trade organizations; and licensing and regulatory boards.
Participates in ongoing Addiction Services Division meetings and other related meetings as scheduled.
Master’s Degree in Human Services, Social Work, Public Health, or Public Administration.
Five years experience in program or department management, including direct staff supervision, budget preparation and management, with at least two years in the substance use disorder treatment field.
Knowledge of local, state, and federal funding sources for substance use disorder treatment programs.
A thorough understanding of the disease of addictions and dual diagnosis treatment, and a familiarity with the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorder (DSM) and American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) criteria.
Strong understanding of the substance use disorders treatment system and related continuum of prevention, intervention, treatment and recovery support networks.
Demonstrated clinical, professional writing, supervisory, interpersonal, communication, computer, public speaking/presentation and organizational skills.
Use personal cellular telephone for work communication.
