The MSW Social Worker provides advanced social work services for facilitating solutions to complex, medically related psychosocial/environmental problems of patients and families. The MSW Social Worker provides assessment, counseling or therapy, information and referral services, education, and guidance to the patient and family during hospitalization and outpatient treatment. The MSW Social Worker works collaboratively with physicians, nurses and allied health staff to identify and meet patient/family needs. The MSW Social Worker maintains positive working relationships with vendors and external service providers to access service for patients. The MSW Social Worker advocates for the rights and needs of all patients and in particular of poor and underserved populations.
Qualifications MSW/MSSW degree from an accredited school of social work or Wisconsin CISW/CICSW certification. Current Social Work certification or licensure in the state in which social work practice will occur.Two years supervised practice in a medical setting preferred. Strong communication and human relations skills and ability to interact with a variety of people at different levels within and outside the organization.Basic computer skills required.
Minimum of 2-3 years of Hospice Social Work experience preferred.
License or certification Must have a Master's in Social Work and requires licensure in the state of Wisconsin.

Compensation Detail Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.Â The minimum salary every 2 weeks is approx $2,045.60, based on a full-time position.
