Seattle Pacific University (SPU) invites applications for an 11-month, Assistant professor rank, tenure-track faculty member as a core faculty of our COAMFTE accredited Master’s Marriage and Family Therapy program. We are hiring for 2 openings with one primarily core Marriage and Family Therapy and the other primarily Medical Family Therapy. Both openings will begin September 1, 2019.
About the MFT Department:The MFT program, COAMFTE accredited since 1996, admits an annual incoming cohort of 25-30 students and offers a 2-year track, 3-year track, Divinity dual degree, and Certificate in Medical Family Therapy. The department is nested in the School of Psychology, Family, & Community which includes the undergraduate psychology, masters and doctoral industrial/organizational psychology, and doctoral clinical psychology (APA accredited) departments.http://spu.edu/academics/school-of-psychology-family-community/graduate-programs/marriage-and-family-therapy

The ideal candidate will be characterized by the following:
•Mature Christian faith aligned with SPU’s faith commitments (http://spu.edu/about-spu/statement-of-faith); known as a person of high integrity and a sense of calling to Christian higher education. •PhD in Marriage and Family Therapy or in a closely related field. •AAMFT Approved Supervisor or Candidate. •License eligible in WA as an LMFT. •Evidence of effective teaching and scholarship in higher education and/or the ability to meet criteria for tenure and promotion within the school. •Ability to develop and grow a collaborative Research program. •Applicants with multicultural competencies are particularly encouraged to apply.

Additional Salary Information: COMPENSATION: Salary and benefits are commensurate with qualifications and experience. Benefits include dependent tuition discount, health, dental, disability, and life insurance as well as retirement programs. A moving allowance is provided.
