We are looking for a full time PM&R Inpatient physician. Special preference given to those Physicians interested in building a practice and growing with the community. Join an onsite internal medicine physician who will provide a full range of medicine support. other independent PM&R collegial physicians and see 10-15 patients immediately. Great staff support from one of the best HealthSouth rehabilitation hospitals in the Southwest. Call is shared 1:3 with low night and weekend call.

It’s located in west central Texas near the geographic center of the state. Situated adjacent to Interstate 20, Abilene is the center of a 22-county area commonly referred to as the Texas Midwest or the Big Country. The County has a current population of about 136,000, 120,373 of which live within the Abilene city limits.
HEALTHSOUTH PM&R PHYSICIAN DESCRIPTION
PM&R Physician will establish a private practice to include a caseload of medically complex inpatient rehabilitation patients and an outpatient rehabilitation practice if he or she chooses. The Physiatrist will set up a relationship with an independent billing company and retain 100% of his/her own billing and collections. HealthSouth hospitals are extremely busy with high patient volumes – HealthSouth has its own well-trained outreach teams that identify appropriate inpatient rehabilitation candidates from surrounding areas.
MD or DO with state medical license or willingness to obtain state license Board Certified or Board Eligible in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Patient-centered commitment to excellence Excellent interpersonal and communications skills Hospital-based physiatry experience preferred but not required Interest in being a part of a thriving community
