Salt Lake Behavioral Health is seeking a Trauma Therapist for our Military and General Adult programs. A Trauma Therapist performs clinical social services functions, as a psychotherapist, to assist patients to achieve their optimal level of emotional health. The Social Worker/Program Therapist conducts evaluations of the patient’s bio psychosocial situation and identifies the individual's state of mental health, mental illness, or emotional disorder consistent with standards of mental health therapy. Assist in the establishment of a diagnosis in accordance with DSM-IV. Develop and prescribe a plan for the treatment of the identified conditions, and engage in professional intervention, including psychotherapy, through Cognitive Processing Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, psychodrama or experiential therapies in group settings, and individual and family therapy with evidence based treatment modalities.
Education: Master's Degree in a human relations field.
Experience: A minimum of two (2) years experience in a psychiatric health care facility preferred, with direct experience in Trauma therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills; must have strong clinical assessment skills.
Licensure: Fully licensed to practice in the State of Utah as a mental health professional.
