Advanced Practice Registered Nurses / Physician Assistants

Providing specialized, routine to acute primary care, diagnostic assessment, intervention and evaluation to recently diagnosed, chronically or terminally ill, or convalescing oncology patients who are receiving care at the UNM Cancer Center outpatient clinic.
The UNM Comprehensive Cancer Center is one of the nation's 47 NCI-Designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers. Our teams of physicians, advanced practice professionals, and nurses treat multiethnic patients from throughout New Mexico who have strikingly different patterns of cancer incidence, mortality and disparity. As one of the top 3 percent of cancer centers in the country, we deliver the most up-to-date treatments in cancer care. We offer our patients clinical trials, including early phase clinical trials, which give them the option of receiving the most scientifically advanced treatments. We are expanding or launching 14 programs, including our recently-launched bone marrow stem cell transplant program.

Minimum Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioner or Clinical Nurse Specialist certification program; current certification as a Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant or Clinical Nurse Specialist with prescriptive authority.
One to three years previous experience as a nurse practitioner or physician's assistant
Three to five years of previous oncology experience
