The University of Maryland School of Medicine is seeking one full time (position 3-309-860) and one part-time (3-309-806) palliative medicine physician for our expanding clinical program. Duties will include both inpatient activities as well as development of an outpatient program. Opportunities for teaching are available. Successful candidates will be board certified/eligible in Palliative Medicine, with a strong interest in teaching and clinical experience in Palliative Medicine. Additionally, the full time position will have the added responsibilities as serving as the Medical Director of this service.
The Palliative Medicine Program at the University of Maryland Medical Center (UMMC) is ten years old and is comprised of a team of MDs, RNs, NPs and a dedicated Clinical Pharmacist. The practitioners serve as expert palliative consultants to the UMMC’s multi-disciplinary service teams, adding care quality and cost saving value.
