The Early Prevention Screening Detection Treatment (EPSDT) Mental Health Worker I provides children 0-8 years and infant mental health services for families of developmentally at risk children. This may be accomplished directly through provision of individual (parents) and child and family therapy, frequently client home based services. Clientele served will be the entire Tiburcio Vasquez Health Center (TVHC) service area and population.
This is a full-time benefited position working 40 hours per week, typically Monday through Friday (may include periodic Saturday hours). The ideal candidate has excellent customer service skills working with diverse populations. Previous medical office work experience is a plus.

Master’s Degree in Counseling or Social Work.
Certification/Licensure: MFTI, ASW, or LPPC.
Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
Minimum experience between 1-2 years wherein knowledge and skills have been honed in: psychology, counseling, or social work; infant, child and family mental health interventions; infant and child; behaviors and group facilitation.
Previous experience working with populations within ethnically and culturally diverse families.
Position requires ability to work independently, organize tasks, problem solve, make decisions, and handle multiple priorities.
Position requires significant interpersonal skills with co-workers and with client families in varied settings, including office, client homes, and in the community.
Must be willing to travel to and from various service sites, including home visits, as required.
