About the MFT Department: The MFT program, COAMFTE accredited since 1996, admits an annual incoming cohort of 30 students and offers a 2-year track, 3-year track, and certificate in Medical Family Therapy. Qualifications: The ideal candidate will be characterized by the following: • Mature Christian faith aligned with SPU’s faith commitments (http://spu.edu/about-spu/statement-of-faith); known as a person of high integrity and a sense of calling to Christian higher education. • PhD in Marriage and Family Therapy or in a closely related field. • AAMFT Approved Supervisor or Candidate • License eligible in WA as an LMFT • Evidence of effective teaching and scholarship in higher education and/or the ability to meet criteria for tenure and promotion within the school. • Applicants with research, teaching, and/or clinical experience in medical family therapy and/or multicultural competencies are particularly encouraged to apply.
