Chase Brexton Health Care (CBHC) is a non-profit federally qualified health center (FQHC) that includes five outpatient health center locations in the Baltimore, Maryland, area. CBHC employs more than 400 staff, including 36 physicians and mid-level providers, 43 behavioral health providers and 10 dental providers, all of whom support CBHC’s commitment to providing high-quality care to the LGBT community, as well as to the general population. CBHC treats more than 120,000 patient visits annually through a comprehensive range of services, including medical and dental care, behavioral health, specialty care, pharmacy services, case management and walk-in services.
The Site Medical Director will serve as the clinical operations leader and the spokesperson for the site. The Site Medical Director will provide strategic direction for the center’s growth and success, as well as provide direct supervision to the medical providers and nursing staff. Additionally, the Site Medical Director will provide direct clinical care to patients (part time) based upon his/her specialty training, through an interdisciplinary and collaborative approach that takes into consideration the psychosocial aspects of both health and disease.
Baltimore, Maryland, is known for its attractive and interesting blend of neighborhoods and historic sites, professional sports teams, and famous steamed crabs. The region has one of the nation’s most educated and productive workforces and a low unemployment rate. The area offers 10,000 acres of parkland, 175 miles of Chesapeake Bay shoreline, rolling horse country and concerts by the world-renowned Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. Baltimore is near the Atlantic Ocean resorts, including Ocean City, Maryland; and the Appalachian Mountains for hiking, camping and skiing.
The ideal candidate will be a community-oriented primary care physician, with a minimum of three years of clinical and leadership experience. He/she will possess the ability to utilize quality, operational and financial data in order to provide clinical, operational and financial oversight to the assigned center. She/he will be passionate about community health and enjoy working in a diverse environment. The chosen candidate will hold an MD or DO degree. Board certification in family practice or internal medicine is required; must hold or be eligible to obtain a Maryland unrestricted medical license.
