Hours: Full time (some evenings and weekends may be required)

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: The LCSW is responsible for providing health counseling to patients. Responsible for informing, educating, advocating for and referring clients to local social agencies and services. Supervises Social Worker interns.
Conduct interviews with service users and their families to assess and review their situations.
Evaluate clients, consult with medical staff and refer clients to other services as required.
Provides direct mental health counseling services, including crisis intervention, individual, group and conjoint/family counseling.
Participates in the development of patients' individualized care plans and documents all mental health assessment and counseling services
Establish contacts and act as liaison between service providing agencies
Provide emotional support and referrals for clinic staff as needed
Act as preceptor to social worker interns
Maintain accurate records
Perform other duties as required
Masters Degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field. Current CA clinical licensure (LCSW). Bilingual Spanish/English a must. A minimum of three years experience, preferably working in a community clinic setting or a mental health agency that serves a wide variety of clients. Supervisory experience.
