Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care has an immediate opening for a Director of Clinical Services.
Responsible for overall direction, management and expenditures for Outpatient Services, Inpatient Unit, pediatric service line, after hours on-call and triage and education. Oversees effectiveness of patient/family care and establishes and monitors policies and procedures in the above-mentioned areas. Directs and supervises managers to coordinate the successful functioning of Interdisciplinary Teams and optimal patient and family care. Ensures that adequate resources are available to meet patient, family and staffing hospice needs. Models excellent customer service, seeks and develops care delivery service models. Ensures agreed upon financial and quality performance in all areas. Acts as agency representative for Quality & Compliance in collaboration with Care Synergy VP of Quality & Compliance. Represents department on committees within the agency, to the community and promotes hospice services and philosophy.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES: • Provides day-to-day management of hospice service delivery staff. Oversees staffing, hiring, competency, development, and counseling activities. Ensures that the interdisciplinary needs of patients/families are met. Ensures that financial and quality targets are met. • Provides compliance with federal/state regulations, maintains licensure and certification. Prepares for and assists surveyors during surveys by regulatory bodies. Develops and maintains/implements policies and procedures. Establishes and revises departmental standards. • Collaborates with others at internal/external meetings and attends or facilitates quality improvement projects/committees. • Oversees quality and education/training programs and orientation through direct reports. • Is responsible for planning and budgeting of above services. Monitors expenditures and meets financial and quality targets. Makes decisions as needed to control expenditures and to stay within budgeted expense levels. • Participates in future strategy and planning. Implements agreed upon initiatives. • Participates in continuing education and professional development. • Other special projects as assigned.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Education: • Bachelor’s Degree in health care-related field required; Master’s degree in health care or health administration strongly desired. • Advanced courses or experience in management/supervision preferred
Minimum Experience: • 5 – 7 years’ experience progressive management experience • 10 years health care experience • Successful operational, financial, and quality performance • Hospice clinical service delivery experience
Required License: • Current Colorado RN license • Hospice and Palliative Care RN certification preferred
