We are seeking a Full-Time Substance Use Counselor for our Dual Diagnosis Intensive Outpatient Program for adolescents that will bring a high level of creativity and excitement through innovative therapeutic interventions. Providing assessment, case management and group therapy is the focus for our Substance Use Counselors. Additional responsibilities include business development and community education.
SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday, including some evenings/weekends
Conduct group sessions based on The 7 Challenges format to assist clients with addressing addiction.
Complete and update monthly Treatment Plans in order to develop/implement goals and objectives for patient's treatment.
Document all sessions conducted with clients in Center approved format.
Coordinate care with schools, probation & parole officers, other providers and parents as needed or requested.
Maintain community relationships and networking opportunities.

Must be one of the following: a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor through the Virginia Department of Health Professions and in good standing; CSAC eligible and registered with the board; a LPC or LCSW with training in substance use disorders.
Individual must have strong leadership skills and a desire to be actively involved in the development and growth of outpatient services.
Candidate must have a passion for working with adolescents and young adults who are struggling with both mental illness and substance abuse.
