Valid Florida Physician's Licensure in the State of Florida
Willing to work with residents with infectious diseases
Board eligible and Board Certified in Infectious Disease
Emergency Duty required
2 years’ experience treating patients with HIV or AIDS
Computer skills in the use of electronic health information, email and internet skills are mandatory
Previous supervisory experience as a lead physician, mid-level and other staff i.e. medical director, lead physician etc. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide comprehensive clinical care in immunology clinic. Complete medical records, review Lab test and follow-up. Consultation with ARNP in clinic for clinical case consultation, coordination of patient care with nursing staff, referrals of patients to other specialist for clinical care. Coordinatation of patient services. Regular meetings with AIDS clinical, case management/psychosocial support staff. Provide care, consultation, reading chest X-rays of HIV and TB co-infected patients and patients in TB program. Participation in clinical research trials, research activities, assisting research nurse in conducting trials, and drug assistance program. Provide education in HIV care to medical students from Nova Southwestern University and Florida State University and Medical Residents from Florida Hospital Family Practice Residency Program and others as needed. Participate in all grant activities for RW and other funding sources. Participate in building and maintaining linkages to community health delivery systems. Serve as clinical consultant to the TB and STD clinical program directors/managers. Coordinate and oversee the clinician and nursing continuing education from HIV/STD/TB departments in concert with respective staff. Evaluates physicians and prepares necessary personnel documents. Responsible for initial orientation of new physicians and ARNP's relative to public health departmental policies. Assist with bioterrorism preparedness activities ongoing in the agency-department of EPI and other pertinent areas. Participate in local hospital care coordination for patient; including teaching of clinical staff, residents, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES, INCLUDING UTILIZATION OF EQUIPMENT, REQUIRED FOR THE POSITION:

Ability to analyze records, reports, test results, budget and revenue reports, quality standards, as well as productivity reports
Ability to understand complex aspects of health care delivery system and conserve resources. Ability to understand and utilize FDOH-Orange budgeting and accounting systems to balance budgets.

Communicate effectively in writing and effectively conveys information through speaking and presentations.
Teaching others how to do something, listen to feedback and modify teaching approach when needed to accommodate different learning styles.
Ability to manage the care of patients.
Ability to perform complete physicals.
Explains procedures, discusses test results and prescribed treatments with patients clearly so that understanding is obtained. Prepares treatment plans, appropriate referrals to specialists and follow up care.
Ability to supervise employees by assigning work, reviewing progress and assessing performance and utilize motivational skills.
Ability to teach and verify licenses and credentials.
Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with staff, peers and community agencies.
