The Department of Radiology at the University of Vermont Medical Center in affiliation with the Robert Larner, M.D. College of Medicine at the University of Vermont is seeking a fellowship-trained radiologist for a position in Nuclear Radiology and Therapeutics. This is a full-time position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor in the Clinical Scholar Pathway at the Robert Larner College of Medicine. Applicants must have completed an ACGME accredited residency program and must be ABR certified or eligible and AU eligible. ABNM eligibility or certificate is not necessary but would be a plus. The ideal candidate will have the qualifications and desire to cover general diagnostic radiology, including fluoroscopy, CT and MRI. There are approximately 6-8 weeks of teleradiology call per year plus weekend day shifts. Ours is an academic practice of 40 full and part-time radiologists who serve as the clinical faculty for a 24-member ACGME-approved Diagnostic Radiology residency program at the University of Vermont. Responsibilities include medical student, resident and fellow teaching, as well as transdisciplinary conferences. The University of Vermont Medical Center is a Level I Trauma Center and the only tertiary referral center for the catchment area of Vermont and Northern Upstate New York, including pediatric subspecialties. The Division of Nuclear Radiology facilities are state-of-the-art with two SPECT-CT cameras, two cardiac SPECT cameras with attenuation correction; two general-purpose cameras and a Digital PET-CT. Therapies including PRRT are routinely performed. Opportunities for protected time for scholarly activity are offered. Strong institutional and departmental research support is available and collaboration with post-doc research scientist in PET and/or MRI through Vermont Center for Biomedical Imaging is expected.
