We have an immediate opening for a BE/BC Radiation Oncologist at Benefis Health System in Great Falls, Montana. The ideal candidate will be energetic and motivated with a strong patient-centered practice philosophy.

Benefis SCI has been uniquely designed to care for the mind, body and spirit of cancer patients and their caregivers. Our team of expert medical oncologists and radiation oncologists, nurses and other cancer care professionals are dedicated to providing advanced cancer treatment, research and education to their fellow Montanans. Equally as important, Benefis Sletten Cancer Institute provides a truly progressive approach to preventing and diagnosing cancer. Our newest technology, Varian Edge(tm) Radiosurgery System, along with genetic counseling, support programs such as patient navigation, cancer registry, social work, financial advising, and Gift of Life housing complete our comprehensive approach to education and treatment of cancer in Montana.
Hours of work: 8am - 5pm, Monday - Friday, weekend call every other weekend.
Scope of practice: consulting and treating patients and providing follow up at the cancer institute, consulting inpatients as necessary
Services and Patients/Day Expectations
Linac 22 per day (220 per week)
PET/CT 7-9 PET (Tuesday only) / 25 CT per week
Consults 6 per week
Follow-ups 15 per week
Physician oversight expected for:
Any medical issues that arise with patients being treated in clinic
Comprehensive Support Staff
1 Medical Physicist
5 Radiation Therapists
3 onsite leaders: operating officer, supervisor and clinic manager
Resources at Benefis available to radiation oncology
Breast Tumor Board
General Tumor Board
Type of operating system and EMR for documentation
Dragon for dictation
