Program Manager, Crisis Intervention

Harris Health System Hospital Program Manager, Crisis Intervention Team (PMCIT) has the primary responsibility for leading the crisis intervention team in the emergency departments at the Harris Health System. The PMCIT collaborates with multiple Harris Health System departments, medical staff, and the interdisciplinary teams to ensure the safe implementation of crisis intervention techniques to improve patient and staff safety, adherence to regulatory guidelines, and improved patient outcomes. The PMCIT monitors and communicates the status of the intervention as well as patients¿ and staff response and ensures that appropriate measures are undertaken before, during, and after the crisis intervention. The PMCIT serves as a resource to the Harris Health System Leadership Teams in areas related to organization-wide safety and complies with standards as established by professional national and state organizations, evidenced based practice, local, state, and national regulatory agencies, and institutional policies and procedures. The PMCIT upholds high standards of integrity and ethical behavior; educates and mentors others; is a role model of professionalism; and participates in system, professional and community activities.
