The incumbent is responsible for the management, coordination and provision of social work services to Veterans and their families on the High Intensity Psychiatric Unit (HIPU) of the Central Alabama Veterans Health Care System (CAVHCS). The social worker plays an integral member of the multidisciplinary team providing mental health services to patients in the HIPU team. Social Worker will be assigned to Mental Health Service Line.
