Knowledge and skill to perform the nursing requirements to meet the physical and emotional states of our specialty care veteran population through initiation of actions to assist the veteran in achieving their goals of treatment and care; ability in observing the veterans physical or emotional well-being, ability to determine emergent behavioral health situations and initiate appropriate action, The nursing assistant's overall objective is to assist the veteran in achieving their treatment goal, and to motivate and enhance the veteran's physical or emotional well-being. She/he is responsible for maintaining up to date mandatory training and attending required in-services as well as maintaining current BLS certification. The incumbent will possess effective communication skills and customer service practices and be able to pass physical standards requirements. The incumbent must be able to perform the physical techniques as taught in the Psychiatric and Management of Disturbed Behavior and the functions and responsibilities listed in the respective job description. Assist the veteran in their recovery plan and treatment, effectively communicate or document their observations to other health care professionals such as activities of daily living, vital signs, veterans' daily behaviors, safety care concerns, and patient care findings Work Schedule: All Shifts, including weekends and holidays (Day shift requires rotation to either evenings or nights); Confirm shift availability with the hiring manager at the time of interview.
