Summary
The Behavioral Health Technician is responsible for providing a safe, supportive and therapeutic environment for psychiatric patient and to assist with the provision of basic nursing care needs. The Behavioral Health Technician works under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse.
Qualifications:
Education
Required: College coursework in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or other health related field. Experience in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related health field required.
Experience
Required: Experience working in mental health or other related field ( social work, sociology)
Certifications
Required: Behavioral Health Technician Keeps current with state of art. Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) or documented evidence Aggression training. BLS training.
