California Correctional Health Care Services (CCHCS) is seeking a proactive, knowledgeable CA-licensed psychiatrist to provide clinical leadership to a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals within the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation’s Substance Abuse Treatment Facility.

In this key position, you will:

• Consult with a team of mental health professionals, custody, and administrative personnel to resolve patient diagnostic problems, behavior and housing issues; conduct the more complex inmate assessments and respond to appeals
• Participate in the hiring process for psychiatry applicants, including coordinating onboarding and training activities; complete employee performance reviews and development plans
• Review and evaluate the clinical program, including reports and statistics; perform special assignments as requested by the Chief Psychiatrist
