SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Seeking a dietician to work in an Eating Disorders Treatment Facility for children and adolescents ages 10 to16. Candidate should be comfortable working with children and families to provide counseling and education about meal plans and behavioral counseling to promote motivation for change. In addition to providing services in a partial level of care, the position involves treatment of children, adolescents, adults and families in outpatient care. Outpatient services are provided to patients ranging in age from 10 to 25 years. Experience with eating disorders is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate who possesses strong skill working with children and families.
Responsible for providing leadership in establishing standards of practice for nutritional care and serving as a consultant to clinical dietitians, physicians and other health professionals, providing direct patient care and being responsible for needs assessment, program development and evaluation, in-service education, medical staff education and nutrition research.
Either: (A) Master's degree plus 2 years of experience required
or (B) Bachelor's Degree with an additional job related specialty certification plus 7 years of experience required. Registered Dietitian (ADA) (or Registry Eligible) required (Commission on Dietetics Registration).
