St. Peter's Health Partners is seeking a full-time Psychiatrist with training and interest in Geropsychiatry for an inpatient role at Samaritan Hospital located in Troy, New York.

This opportunity is available for immediate placement and will join a team of counselors, therapists, psychiatrists, case managers, and nurse practitioners in providing compassionate care to our patients.
Samaritan Hospital offers a comprehensive program in behavioral health that includes inpatient services across three units, one of which is a geriatric unit with 20 beds. An interdisciplinary team provides specialized care to meet the medical, psychiatric, and social needs of the older adult patient.
The selected candidate will provide inpatient coverage for geriatric patients at the Samaritan Hospital campus and will work collaboratively with the Hospitalists, specialists, and community providers. Call rotation is 1:6 weekends.
Interested candidates should have the following:
Board Certified/Board Eligible in Psychiatry
Fellowship in Geriatric Psychiatry preferred but not required
Experience in an inpatient setting is also preferred
DEA Licensure/NYS licensure required
Applicants should possess excellent clinical skills, communication skills and a strong commitment to providing excellent care that is team oriented
