The VMET program is based at the Ambulatory Care Center in the VA Police Department and all services are delivered by the police/social worker dyad. Veterans are provided VMET services by the dyad within and outside the facility setting, but primarily occurring in the community. The Senior Social Worker practices within the VMET Program and serves a patient population with complex health and mental health problems. The incumbent serves as an outreach specialist and case manager for the program. Applicants pending the completion of educational or certification/licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met.
