MultiCare is seeking an experienced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join their Adolescent Behavioral Unit at the Tacoma General Hospital for a full-time in-patient position, in person. Work with a collegial team of physicians, advanced practice providers, licensed clinical social workers, therapists, and nursing team.Desired Skills/Qualifications:1. Psychiatry ARNP with child & adolescent experience2. Board certification in area of licensure.3. 1-3 years of experience working with the adolescent population4. Well versed in EPIC EMR if not can also be trained on site.5. Inpatient psychiatric prescribing experienceExpectations for duties on the unit:1. Will be covering a maximum of 7-8 patients which will include 1-2 discharges, 1-2 new admits a day.2. All admissions can be voluntary, or Family initiated or Detained patients3. The legal status is taken care of when patient is initially admitted by intake coordinators and paperwork is reviewed by intake nurse. 4. New Admits will also have a pediatrician to complete the physical examination on the day of admit so if there is any question for any ongoing medical problems, they are available to consult.5. Discharge planning and setting up all done by SW team6. All documentation will be expected to be completed within the 24 hours from seeing patient.7. Team meetings to be attended daily in the morning with the team to review and present all cases.8. Templates for all intakes, communication notes, progress notes and discharge summaries are in place and will be available to all clinician's.Position Requirements:BC at the time of employmentLicensed in the state of Washington by employmentDEA, NPI & Prescriptive authorityCurrent BLS for Healthcare Providers certification by the American Heart AssociationMinimum of 1-3 years clinical experience with direct patient care with adolescents.
