Job Description

Are looking for a collaborative, dynamic, practice environment? Do you enjoy a collegial work environment partnering with fellow psychiatrists, CBT clinicians, primary care physicians, and medical specialists to improve the lives of patients? Are you interested in excelling in providing integrated, multidisciplinary, patient centered care? If so, then Summit Health may be right for you. We are seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Adult Psychiatrist to treat patients in our Behavioral Health Dept both virtually and in-person.

As we continue to expand our Behavioral and Population Health services, we have a full-time opening for a skilled Adult Psychiatrist to treat patients in our NY North Behavioral Health Department location. They will work collaboratively with our Primary Care and specialty providers utilizing a hybrid work schedule from both home and in-office. The chosen candidate will work closely with our highly trained staff of Cognitive Behavioral Therapists, Clinical Social Workers, Nurse Care Managers, and Psychiatry Staff to manage patient psychiatric conditions, provide psychiatric consultations, and help grow the Summit's psychiatry programs.

Responsibilities will include:

• Providing direct patient care, including psychiatric assessment and medication management to patients of the Behavioral Health Dept.
• Psychiatric consultations to primary care providers and patients both in-office and via telehealth.
• Working collaboratively with primary care providers and staff psychiatrists on patient care
• Educating physicians and nursing staff on psychiatric disorders and medication management within the primary care setting
• Developing psychiatry services and programs to meet the needs of t Summit Health's patients and providers

Successful candidates must be a NY licensed Physician.
