Responsible for providing clinical leadership to the department.  Responsible for oversight of  a wide variety of clinical services to the patients in various service areas at the Center as well as clinical supervision and consultation to other staff members and referral sources as needed.  Possesses appropriate education, experience, training and knowledge to evaluate performance of staff members against criteria stated in the job description.

Minimum Education
X Bachelor’s degree in Nursing X Required

Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Certifications:
X Current certification in psychiatric mental health nursing, preferred.
X Basic Life Support (BLS)

Required Skills
Licenses:
Licensed as a professional registered nurse in the State of Georgia

Minimum Work Experience
Prefer five (5) years of nursing experience, three (3) of which should be in psychiatric nursing, with demonstrated abilities in supervising, teaching, interpersonal relationships, and communication.
