This posting is for the Inpatient Mental Health Acute Care Medical Psychiatric unit. This is a new 19-bed Acute Care unit with MH care needs. The Nurse Manager is the designated first-line supervisory authority and is responsible & accountable for the 24/7 operation of their unit & provides coverage for other NMs as needed. The NM is responsible & accountable for the direction and supervision of specific orientation, training, development of staff, and evaluation of individual staff performance. Basic Requirements: English Language Proficiency. In accordance with 38 U.S.C. 7403(f), no person shall serve in direct patient care positions unless they are proficient in basic written and spoken English.
