Social Worker (Suicide Prevention Clinician)
The principle role of the Suicide Prevention Clinician (SPCL) is to coordinate & monitor services for veterans designated as high risk for suicide, and act as the transitional coordinator of care for these patients. The determination of risk level is based on clinical evaluation and assessment of a veteran by appropriate behavioral health care providers. The SPCL is responsible for coordinating the care of high risk patients throughout the medical center, including CBOC's and community agencies. Applicants pending the completion of educational or certification/licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met.
