"ABOUT ME": To succeed in this per-diem position, you must be knowledgeable with current nursing best practices in the inpatient behavioral health setting. Strong communication skills and knowledge of current evidence-based practice are essential. If you are comfortable enough to hit the ground running in a new setting, this may be a good fit for you.

Position: Inpatient Behavioral Health RN

Required Education and Credentials

• Current RN license and good standing with the Washington State Board of Nursing.

• Current AHA BLS certification.

Required Experience and Skills

• Minimum of 1 year full-time experience as an inpatient Behavioral Health RN within the last year.

• APRNs who apply must have recent bedside experience under RN scope of practice.
• Strong ability to provide age appropriate patient care including adult and geriatric patient populations, addressing biological, emotional, developmental, psychosocial, and patient/family educational needs.
• Competency managing behavioral health patients with a variety of diagnoses including Substance Abuse disorders, Schizophrenia/Schizoaffective disorder, Bipolar disorder, Depression, Anxiety, and alcohol withdrawal. 
• Competency administering common behavioral health medications and IV medications
• IV pump management, restraints management, and patient de-escalation experience is required.
