Bring us your imagination and provide coverage of inpatient psychiatric consultations and ambulatory services in both Article 28 programs and the Physician Pavilion serving a culturally diverse community.
The chosen Psychiatrist will:
Provide inpatient psychiatric consultations in conjunction with multidisciplinary teams as requested by other hospital teams. TBHC does not have an inpatient psychiatry unit. Consultations may be provided via telemedicine.
Provide outpatient psychiatric consultations including our specified Article 28 sites. Consultations may be provided via telemedicine.
Evaluate patients, formulate diagnoses, and recommend treatment plans.
Establish and maintain a faculty practice for a minimum of 2 sessions per week. Sessions can be completed via telemedicine.
The ideal candidate must:
Be Board Certified/Eligible in Psychiatry
Have graduated from an accredited medical school
Hold and maintain a current and valid NYS license to practice medicine
Be eligible for an appointment to the Medical Staff
Possess a valid and current DEA number
Have a passionate interest in academics and leadership; prior teaching experience with students and residents is a plus
Have thorough knowledge of psychological diagnosis, therapeutics, and pharmaceuticals
