Psychologist

ChristianaCare is searching for a full-time health psychologist to work as a member of our growing Consult and Liaison behavioral health team in our Wilmington campus.

The primary function of this position is to provide inpatient consultation to patients throughout the hospital, while partnering with consult liaison psychiatry and members of the multidisciplinary medical team.

Responsibilities may include program development, collaboration in behavioral research and clinical supervision of psychology practicum students and interns. The Wilmington campus has 321 licensed beds and houses the Center for Rehabilitation, Center for Advanced Joint Replacement and participates in Delaware's Trauma system.

The work schedule is Monday - Friday; no weeknight and weekend call.

Key Job Duties:

• Conducts bedside clinical interviews to provide diagnostic impression and treatment recommendations and utilizes evidenced-based psychological interventions for concerns including anxiety, depression, somatic symptom and related disorders, medication non-adherence, pain, substance abuse/dependence, suicidal ideation, death and dying.
• Participate in quality improvement projects, committees and department initiatives based upon your interests.
• Assists in coordinating the transition of care to community setting as necessary.
• Serves as a faculty member of ChristianaCare's Psychology Internship program.
• Contributes to the professional development of ChristianaCare caregivers by providing consultation, education and suggesting best practice alternatives as appropriate.

Position Qualifications:

• Ph.D./Psy.D. in clinical or counseling psychology from an APA-accredited psychology program
• Pre-doctoral internship from an APA-accredited site
• Experience in a medical setting.
• Eligible for license in Delaware
