| The Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Program Nurse is responsible and accountable for all elements of the nursing process when providing and/or supervising direct patient care. The Nurse will assume responsibility for the coordination of care focused on patient transition through the continuum of care, patient and family education, patient self-management after discharge, and supporting factors that impact customer satisfaction. As the Registered Nurse for Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Program, you will use professional standards of care and practice to evaluate self, programs, and service activities. You will maintain knowledge of current techniques, trends, and professional issues. You will use group process to identify, analyze, and resolve care problems. Duties of the position include but are limited to; Initiate/participate in Patient Safety activities that result in improved outcomes. Implement an educational plan to meet changing program or service needs. Educate colleagues and serve as a preceptor and/or mentor on patient safety initiatives and standards. Support and enhance client self-determination. Serve as a resource for clients and staff in addressing ethical issues. Participate in ethics consultations. Collaborate with others in research activities to improve care. Identify and assess resource utilization and safety issues, taking appropriate action. Preferred Experience: While not a requirement for consideration or selection, applicants with the following preferred education/experience will be considered highly qualified, BSN prepared At least one-year Charge Nurse Experience. At least one-year in Adult Mental Health or Substance Use Disorders. At least one-year with Medication Administration. At least one-year with Patient Education. At least one-year Med/Surg or ICU experience. Such experience must be clearly identifiable in the supporting application documents. Work Schedule: Full time Tour of Duty: 7:30 am to 8:00 pm and 7:30 pm to 8:00 am Bargaining Unit Status: This position is part of the bargaining unit. Financial Disclosure Report: Not required
