Supervisory Social Worker - Suicide Prevention Program Coordinator
The Supervisory Suicide Prevention Coordinator (SPC) will serve to facilitate implementation of suicide prevention strategies within the medical center to help ensure that all appropriate measures are being taken to prevent suicide in the Veteran patient population. The incumbent plans, develops, implements and oversees all components of the Suicide Prevention Program. The SPC functions in both a clinical and administrative capacity. The incumbent will provide 60% administrative oversite of the Suicide Prevention Program and national Suicide Prevention Initiatives, 10% of direct patient care duties, and 30% administrative oversight to the Suicide Prevention staff throughout VAPHS campuses.
